The Fannin County Adult Detention Center is located at 645 West First Street in downtown Blue Ridge, directly behind the Fannin County Courthouse.  The detention facility provides humane treatment for persons convicted of violating the Georgia Code and for persons charged with felonies and misdemeanors awaiting bond or court appearances.  There are 84 beds in separate dormitories for men and women.  There are loitering and guard line rules posted in front of the Detention Center.  Please adhere to those rules when visiting the Detention Center.

The Detention Center is the location to go to secure a Fannin County property bond when someone has been charged in a criminal case. Also, the detention center is the facility where citizens may be fingerprinted for foster parenting, adoptions, political qualifying, gun permits, business/alcoholic beverages licenses, and the like.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
